First Union African Baptist, A non Denominational Community Church

Church services are held each Sunday at 10AM, and Bible Study is at 9:15AM.  Sunday School is at 10AM.  The Daufuskie Men of Christ, an organization open to the public, meets every 3rd Saturday at 10AM at the Maryfield School, with an emphasis on Christian education, fellowship, community service, and lunch!  Contact Pastor Clarence Edmondson, 843-706-2672 or Deacon Aaron Crosby, 843-247-1770.

DICIC -Daufuskie Island Community Improvement Club

Daufuskie's first organized Club, formed in 1965.Current projects include public ferry transportation, public beach access and other community improvement projects. Residents and others are invited to meetings at Mary Fields School the first Wednesday of every month. Contact Torrey Downs.

DICLC -Daufuskie Island Community Leadership Council

Representatives from Clubs, Organizations, POA's and Businesses on Daufuskie are invited to attend monthly meetings to discuss island wide initiatives and act on island wide goals. Contact Chuck Henry 785-7466.

WODI -Women of Daufuskie Island

All women who are Daufuskie residents (full time or part-time) are invited to attend monthly Potluck Dinner Meetings. Members share great food and form lasting friendships while working to serve the community. WODI recipe form.  Contact Dianne Simonelli 842-4570.

DIC -Daufuskie Island Conservancy

Committed to loving, saving and sharing the natural environment of Daufuskie Island. Anyone who is interested in learning about and/or preserving Daufuskie's natural beauty is invited to attend the bimonthly meetings at Mary Fields School. Contact Laura Winholt 842-5990.

DIF -Daufuskie Island Foundation

Members are native islanders. Organizes Daufuskie Day, an annual homecoming celebration for residents, their families, and island visitors every June. Contact Amelia Stevens Benskin 757-8971

CP Committee - Community Preservation Committee

Appointed by the County to assist in developing the Community Plan and Zoning Ordinances for the Community Preservation District. Meetings are held at Mary Fields School and are open to the Public. Contact Catherine Tillman 842-3699.

DIPTO -Daufuskie Island Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization

Works on behalf of the children at Daufuskie Island Elementary School to provide funding for materials, field trips and other educational experiences for island children. Contact Stewart Yarborough.

DI Co-Op - Daufuskie Island Co-Op

Manages the rental and repair of the County Building (store and restaurant) located at the County Dock. Also plans community events such as Community Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas Parade. Any Daufuskie Homeowner is eligible to join. Annual Meetings are held in February. Contact Beth Shipman 785-4755

DIHF - Daufuskie Island Historical Foundation
